1. Overview

Enso Heart (the "App") is a biofeedback and meditation application. It processes heart sensor data and, optionally, microphone audio on your device in real time.

In brief:
•⁠  ⁠The App does not require an account and includes no advertising or behavioral tracking.
•⁠  ⁠The App does not store or upload sensor or microphone data.
•⁠  ⁠The App can be used offline and does not make any network requests.

2. Information the App uses

2.1 Microphone

If you enable audio-based heartbeat mode, the App accesses an audio input device (such as the built-in microphone or an external USB audio device) to capture and process audio in real time. The App requests microphone permission only when you explicitly start this mode and grant permission.

•⁠  ⁠Purpose: provide real-time audio biofeedback (audio heartbeat mode).
•⁠  ⁠Retention: the App does not record or store microphone audio. Processing occurs in memory only.
•⁠  ⁠Sharing: microphone audio is not uploaded by the App.

2.2 Bluetooth and BLE heart sensor data

When you connect a supported Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) heart sensor (for example, a Polar H10), the App receives and processes the sensor data stream in real time.

•⁠  ⁠Purpose: provide real-time biofeedback features (for example, heartbeat sonification, heart rate display, HRV metrics).
•⁠  ⁠Retention: sensor data is processed in memory while active and is not stored or uploaded by the App.
•⁠  ⁠Sharing: sensor data is not uploaded by the App.

2.3 Local app storage

The App stores limited settings locally on your device, such as:

•⁠  ⁠Audio volume and EQ settings.
•⁠  ⁠UI preferences.
•⁠  ⁠A pending crash report draft (if a crash occurred), until you send it or dismiss it.

This information does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share it (for example, by sending a crash report email).

2.4 Crash reports (optional, user-initiated)

If the App encounters an error, it may store crash details locally on your device. The App can open your email app with a prefilled email addressed to dev@enso-heart.com.

No report is sent automatically. You must review the prefilled email and tap Send in your email client.

3. Data the App does not collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store on any server:

•⁠  ⁠Names, email addresses, or other identifying information.
•⁠  ⁠Location data.
•⁠  ⁠Usage analytics or telemetry.
•⁠  ⁠Advertising identifiers.
•⁠  ⁠Sensor or microphone recordings.

4. Third-party components

The App includes third-party libraries to enable functionality, such as communicating with supported sensors (for example, the Polar BLE SDK). These libraries are used as part of the App's local functionality. The App does not upload sensor data to any third party.

The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

5. Network access and offline use

The App does not require an internet connection for its core functionality. The App does not make any network requests as part of normal use.

If you choose to send an email (crash report or support email), your email app and email provider may use the internet to send that email.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe personal information was shared through the App, contact us at dev@enso-heart.com.

7. Your choices and rights

Because the App does not collect personal data on a server, most data subject requests (access, correction, deletion) do not apply in practice.

You can:
•⁠  ⁠Delete local data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage in device settings.
•⁠  ⁠Dismiss a pending crash report in the App without sending it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
